When I began this program, I was coming from a field other than education. I entered this field for a number of reasons, but in the simplest of terms: I wanted to know how to share art with others. I have come to realize it isn’t just that. I want to instill hope in others; I want them to believe in themselves. I want to make a positive impact. And I believe more than ever, that art is the right vehicle for me to do this.
